The mounting position for the ideal width between lights often does not coincide with the optimal position for wiring. The Surface Mount Spacer increases flexibility when mounting APELO underwater lights. Instead of drilling a hole in the transom, you can run the cable through the side to a position above the water or to a point where internal access is much more favorable. The spacer has a 5 degree surface that allows you to fine-tune the direction of the light - useful if you prefer the light to be directed to the side, or to prevent an obstacle, such as an outboard motor or trim tab, from blocking part of the light. This angle can also be used to compensate for a transom angle.
